Being a life long resident of Channahon, I care about this community. We raised our family here. I was happily married to Lori for 27 years. She began working in Channahon School District #17 in 1979 as an aide, then advanced to a first grade teacher and was the Principal of Pioneer Path School. I have been a Funeral Director for the past 9 years, and have spent 4 of those years as a Deputy Coroner for Will County.  I am currently a Funeral Director at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home in Joliet. Lori and I have 2 beautiful daughters, Kristin and Megan. Kristin is employed by the Will County Clerk's office as an Election Judge Coordinator. Megan recently completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at Joliet Junior College and is currently working a Rosewood Care Center and Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab Center. After Lori's unexpected death, I created a Scholarship Fund in her name, which will be perpetual that will go to a student at Minooka Community High School, who is looking into a career in Early Childhood Education.  I have also been involved with the Channahon School District in creating a library a Pioneer Path that will bear her name.  If you are interested in contributing to the Library Fund feel free to contact the School District at 815/467-4312 or visit their website www.channahon.will.k12.il.us.
